We do not want consumers to think that we are superficial. But we have to admit that the nature of our work itself is about appearance. We definitely make sure our scarves have irresistible aesthetic quality.

That doesn’t mean we’re overlooking the utility of exterior. In fact, we’re enthusiastic about exterior of a plant called weaver’s thistle. The average-looking plants prick us when we are strolling in nature and they’re nobody’s favorite flower to adore in a vase. But there is an extraordinary functional quality in being prickly: the ability to comb. That’s why it was once nicknamed as “Wolf’s Comb”.

The spines of the dried seed heads are perfectly suited for stroking the surface of a fabric without damaging its sensitive fibers in the process. The countless tiny barbed hooks are better than any other tool at stroking cashmere to a perfectly soft finish. Please do not attempt this on your own as you cannot simply run a rough thistle over fine wool material to achieve our finish.

You would need to treat the thistles first to make sure they do not wear away too much of the fabric.

Sustainability is another ubiquitous fashion term. It sounds good on paper, but simply talking about it will not help anyone. Taking significant ecological and ethical action usually does not rank high on the agenda in the textiles industry. Fast fashion sees to it that goods are becoming ever cheaper while working conditions become increasingly miserable. We have always seen taking responsibility as a matter of the heart and we’re committed to transparent production, even if this makes our products more expensive, putting them in conflict with profitability. And we do not just take responsibility for our products, but also for the 160 people we employ in Myanmar.

Sustainability has many aspects for us – from protecting the environment to treating our employees with respect – as they’re still our most important resources. Many of them have been with us for years. We not only train, but also take on the majority of our trainees permanently. Of course, we place great significance on performance and expertise, but we never lose sight of what is most important. Taking pleasure in your work and receiving recognition are just as important in creating the perfect scarf as the selected raw materials are.

As we all know, quality doesn’t just happen. “It takes intelligence and determination to make something better.” We love adorning ourselves with scarves, not borrowed plumes. Fabrix did not coin the quote above, the British author John Ruskin did. However, it rings true in true in our own extensive experience. What we always want to improve come in large quantities. 1. The product must be unused, unworn, unwashed and without any flaws. Fashion products can be tried on to see if they fit and will still be considered unworn. If a product is returned to us in an inadequate condition, we reserve the right to send it back to you.
2. The product must include the original tags, user manual, warranty cards, freebies and accessories.
3. The product must be returned in the original and undamaged manufacturer packaging / box. If the product was delivered in a second layer of Shop packaging, it must be returned in the same condition with return shipping label attached. Do not put tape or stickers on the manufacturers box.
